I hope this doesn’t come off as too depressing but— lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about death, and about life, and how fleeting and short life truly is.
Most of us are scared of dying.
While pondering this, I realized that I’m not afraid of dying. I’m not afraid of actual death or anything that happens afterward.
But I am afraid of wasting my short time here on Earth— of living selfishly and not being a light to the people around me so that they can also learn to live with hope.
Some people have been asking me about my goals for 2019– I suppose one of them is to live less selfishly, to think more of others….. to live while thinking consciously and practically about the eternal ramifications of death.
As a wise man once said: “yolo.”
